Confusion in the Metaverse

I had a conversation with a friend while I was grid jumping some (several…) weeks ago. Maybee not all ppl know that we can talk to friends in other grids while grid jumping.

And if you have an account in OSgrid you can sometimes even get a home in some of the smaller grids keeping your avie and inventory from Osgrid. So I had just jumped from OsGrid to Metropolis when I got this Im from a friend who lives in yet another world (lets call it Xgrid):

My Avatars Look Alike

 “Share a selfie of your avatar and a picture of the person you feel most looks like your avatar, or someone people have told you looks like your avatar or someone you tried to base your avatar’s looks on”. Those were the instructions in Strawberry Sings last monday meme. Strawberries monday memes has been an inspiration for me when i needed it most. This year has been a challenge (to put it mildly…) so im very thankful for this happy little distraction.

I have to use my alt for this meme because he is the avatar people have commented as being a look alike.

According to Tintin, one of my closest friends, he is a copy of Duane Loken from “How the west was won” from the 80s. He recognized him because his mom had a crush on Duane since years back and had even bought his recordings. And they are not bad. I really do love this one:

Vesper Kling, my alt, was born in may 2009. The reason was, in short, that i was bored and I needed more “me” time. I wanted to build without disturbance. So I created a male avie because I had heard It was easier to be a male in a virtual world. And it was. Tho girls seems to like him and I can fully grasp that :):)  (pic down, Vesper and Millimina Salamander april 2010)

I never identify with my alt, he is a person of his own, a forceful roleplay character and good enough to fool me too. I know cod I got a major school girl crush on him first time I saw him in his Belezza skin, gorgeous sauze man.

The secret with his seductive capacity is that he is created by a woman, by me. I know exactly how I want a man to behave and I obviously share this wish with some (read – a lot of!) other women :O)

Sorry to say he is not always behaving perfectly… he´s a bit hard to control at times…. but that´s maybee part of his charm *_*

Tho to have a male alt (i was open about it in his profile) was more standard critical/out of the norm or should I say norm breaking than I ever could have guessed. Some people (males ;) got right out furious about it. The reactions were often strong. But that was an interesting experience in itself…

He is not always dressed as a native. He can be anything u want and he´s done a lot of not so smart moves as this 1, dancing can-can and hmm… stripping in public as a member of Chickendales 2010:

Vesper Kling exists inWorldz too of course. Leanna always flirts with him, wonder if Jim knows?

inWorldz – a makeover

So much has happenened this last year inWorldz so i felt it was time for a total makeover. I got inspired from Strawberry Sings posting some days ago and took a hard look at myself. Pink hair, ears and tail? Look here: https://eternalmetaverse.files.wordpress.com/2013/10/0iwdog_001.jpg  Hu uhh i suddenly felt so 2011. And last week some more of my SL friends have logged in to inWorldz to do some serious shopping so I felt the pressure D: Time for a change!  inWorldz got mesh now so I longed to throw away all my old stuff. The moths had eaten it anyhoo…

I started at Mimi´s Choise. I met Mimi and she offered her help. A very  nice lady indeed. She suggested a new shape for easier fit in the mesh clothes but im kind of attached to my own shape so I passed.

Eventually I found myself a new ao, dress and shoes. Then off to Damselfly and Milk for a new hairdo. Fun! :):)

To be able to see mesh you need to use inWorldz beta viewer or some other viewer that can handle mesh. If someone use old inworldz viewer we might appear as nekkid so to be safe i have undies and alpha layers on :O)

Having a presence inWorldz doesnt exclude Second Life. We can have both. Its nice to run off to a summer/winder cottage inWorldz when u need some change. It´s good to explore and its fun to make an avatar. If you want to export your shape between grids you need to use transfer shape and export/import via Singularity viewer for example. The shape must be created from inventory – new shape, to be transfer. Welcome to add me if you join us!

My Avatar’s Private Life with Rodvik Linden

This is 2 of Strawberry Singhs monday memes in 1 blogpost. The first task is to take a picture of what your avatar might be doing after you hit that logout button. Do our avatars have a mind of their own with their own style preferences and activities? The other meme I used is “Flat Rodvik Linden”… hmm how do i describe that? Links at the bottom of this posting.

I got curious and decided to spy on my virtual self and this is what i found:

She is working for the firebrigade/rescue team together with Rodvik Linden? It seems he had some troble with creators after the last TOS update. They seems to pass out now and then due to high blood pressure, so he needed to employ more people in his rescue team. And he have to do the dirty work himself as u dont see that many Lindens around these days. A mans gotta do what a mans gotta do. Very thoughtful of him i´d say!

She also works extra as helicopter pilot and ambulance nurse. My god! I asked her why and she admitted she wasnt satisfied with her small Linden Home, she wants a mansion… @_@ Thats why she works extra and this kind of work seem to be good money. But is it just the money? U know how it is, easy to fall in love with work mates…. and he is handsome, isnt he? The geek look with those huge thick glasses, some girls love that…

Poor girl and I didnt have a clue… maybee she needs more pocket money? We have to talk about this Linden home, but I find it so convenient…. (and cheap) The only option I see now is to spend more time inWorldz instead. In that grid we can afford a manson  :):)
